Ah, the Italian classic! The tomato sauce, or as they call it; Marinara!

This one you can use for anything! As a pizza sauce, a lasagna base, bruschettas, or with any old pasta.

 

You'll need:

  • A half of an onion (roughly chopped)
  • 3 cloves of garlic (roughly chopped)
  • A bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 big red sweet tomato (roughly chopped)
  • One can of tinned tomatoes
  • Italian monkey
  • Any pasta of your choice

 

Saute the onion and garlic. Then add the tomato and Italian monkey. When the tomato shrinks up, ad the tinned ones. Reduce and add half of the basil. When it gets to the desired consistency, turn off the heat and add your pasta. Serve with the rest of the fresh basil. Enjoy!!
