Five ideas for breakfast that won't leave you hungry

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At least this is what you've heard million times. Well, you might as well feel sick the second you think about eating in the morning. No matter what, just go with your gut feeling. Or better to say with your stomach.  In this blog, I'm representing you five ideas for healthy breakfast that sure won't leave you hungry. If you need to be full for the next couple of hours, this one is for you!

 

First of all, if you want to stay full for more than just an hour or two, you have to add some fat to your meal. The second thing to keep in mind is that if you're gonna eat food that increases blood sugar fast, you're gonna be hungry very quickly. So you shouldn't eat just fruits or bread and veggies. Treat yourself with really good breakfast. It's worth putting some effort and time in it.

  1. Fish-based breakfast

Fish lovers, this one is for you! I call it "All delicious things in one sandwich". It is healthy, tasty and perfect for breakfast.

You will need: smoked salmon, mozzarella, wholegrain bread roll, rocket, lightly salted butter, avocado and Italian Monkey spice blend.

Just make a sandwich out of all ingredients and serve it with freshly squeezed lemonade. Good appetite!

  1. Meat-based breakfast

Cannot think about breakfast without meat? I got you! You might love the traditional English breakfast but I don't think it is a very healthy choice to make. But for sure you can eat some poultry and a nice piece of ham.

 

You will need: nice piece of ham, Greek Monkey, sour cream, fresh basil, green beans, fresh tomato, sunflower seeds and bread (optional).

Well, ham should be precooked, otherwise, you will spend hours for cooking it. Cut ham on slices. Cook young green beans in boiling water for few minutes. Cut fresh tomato into cubes. Cut fresh basil. Mix two spoons of sour cream with a handful of fresh basil and half tablespoon of Greek Monkey. Put everything on your plate - ham, green beans, tomato and garnish it with sunflower seeds and sauce you've made from sour cream and herbs. You can serve this breakfast with a slice of wholegrain bread if you like.

  1. Egg-based breakfast

When it comes to eggs, you have endless possibilities. You might prefer frittata to boiled eggs or another way around. Just keep one thing in mind - when eating eggs for breakfast, add some veggies, olive oil, and some beans on your plate. Here's a quick example of egg-based breakfast.

You will need: two eggs, five asparaguses, a handful of red beans, Grill Kong, and olive oil.

Cook eggs until hard-boiled. Remove hard parts of asparaguses and cook them in boiling water for few minutes. Mix two spoons of olive oil and half tablespoon of Grill Kong in a small cup. Put asparaguses, red beans, and peeled eggs on a plate. Season it with a mixture of olive oil and spices. That's it!

  1. Fruit and cereals

I'm sure you've noticed the prettiest food photos all over Instagram. It' time for smoothie bowls! If you use right foods, a smoothie bowl can make an awesome breakfast.

You will need: greek yogurt, fruits of your choice (blueberries, raspberries, pear, banana, apple, mango, ... I recommend you to choose fresh seasonal fruits), some seeds (chia seeds, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, hemp seeds), some nuts (macadamia nuts, almond nuts, cashews, walnuts), coconut chips and oatmeal / granola or other healthy cereals.

Important: Why you should use coconut chips and at least one kind of seeds and nuts? Because these foods are full of healthy oils and protein. Make sure to add them to your smoothie bowl.

If you'd like to sweeten your smoothie bowl add some honey or maple syrup.

Mix all ingredients, add some spice if you'd like (cinnamon, cardamom or vanilla) and enjoy your breakfast.

  1. Legume-based breakfast

Let's make this one vegan. If you're vegan, you probably eat a lot of legumes. What kind of breakfast is perfect when making it legume-based? Read on and find out!

You will need: homemade hummus, fresh carrots, beans, tofu, coconut oil, paprika, pumpkin seed oil and Italian Monkey spice blend.

Peel carrots, slice paprika and leave it for later. Cut tofu into cubes and quickly stir-fry it in coconut oil. Put tofu, paprika, and beans on a plate. Season it with pumpkin seed oil and Italian Monkey. Serve carrots with hummus sauce. Yummy!
